The second leg of our tour is the wild Mountain of Istiozza.

From Cala Ginepro beach we covered an impassable path that clambers up the mountains as you can see in the picture: the way up on the mountain’s back gave us the shivers.

This part of our trip will be the favourite one for the most adventurous: you’ll feel like Indiana Jones climbing the rocky mountains and searching the most wild and untouched nature.
After few minutes we suddenly saw the mountain and the big rocks at its foot: impressive and magnificent it rose in all its beauty while native condors and eagles flew around it.

We stopped at a freshwater spring to cool down and drink some fresh water. In the meantime our guide showed us a curios rock called ‘the head of the pharaoh’: it looked exactly like that!

Now, let’s head to the old cave of the shepherds and the rocks over it.
